A $200MĀ investment into Best Buy is affecting Future Shop. The two are owned by the same company, which means half of the 131 Future Shop stores in Canada are closing.
However, half will re-branded as Best Buy, including the one in Timmins.
The investment is to improve online shopping, and bring home appliances into every store.
The doors are set to open in town this weekend.
