Mining cup tournament to host social event

The Canadian Institute of Mining is hosting their annual Ontario Mining cup this weekend in Timmins.

The hockey tournament is bringing 16 teams with players from across the province together in one of the events the non-profit holds.

President of the CIM Porcupine Branch, Kyle Buckoll, says there is also a social event happening. There is going to be live music, food, drinks, and NHL games on all night.

There is also going to be a shot from centre ice for $12, 500.
