The Timmins Humane Society is hosting an open house and their annual Spring Bake Sale Saturday.
The open house starts at noon and goes until 3 PM. They will have tours and animals that are looking for a home. Alicia Santamaria, from the shelter, says they are also looking for volunteers in a wide range of positions, including working with the animals, or on the tech side with social networking.
The shelter is also looking for donated items; blankets, sheets, and towels are always in need. They also ask for canned cat and dog food, as well as cat toys and Kong toys for dogs.
The bake sale is at the Porcupine Mall Saturday, starting at 11 AM until all the baked goods are sold.
