Police lay 50 charges in business break-ins

Timmins police have charged two residents with numerous offenses after trying to sell stolen merchandise to an undercover cop. Police say quite a few businesses had items stolen in a series of break-ins with the merchandise being sold online. Among the stolen property were electronics, clothing and sporting goods. Police have recovered some of the stolen items. Charges against the accused include theft, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of property for the purpose of trafficking. One of the accused also faces weapons related charges and the other is looking at a charge of trafficking in property obtained by crime.
