Charges Laid After Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 101

A 31-year-old South Porcupine resident is facing charges after a three vehicle collision.

The Timmins Police Service says at about 8:40 this morning, officers responded to the multi-vehicle collision on Highway 101 East. Police say all three vehicles were travelling eastbound in the curb lane when they approached the construction zone along the Connecting Link. Officers say the first two cars slowed down for the construction zone when the third vehicle hit the back of the second car, pushing it into the leading vehicle. One driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The South Porcupine resident in the third vehicle was found at fault and charged for careless driving.
