Violence Against Women Programs at the Tranquility House Will Not be Closing

You are being reassured that the Violence Against Women program at Matheson’s Tranquility House will not be closing.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Cochrane Timiskaming branch says there will be no break in service of the house or program, it is just being transitioned to another agency. Executive Director Clark MacSarlane says the Hearst-Kapuskasing-Smooth Rock Falls Counselling Services will be taking over the services.

MacSarlane says their priority is that the women, services and staff are transitioned seamlessly and stay well informed during this process.
