A fire has damaged an upstairs apartment.
On Sunday evening, the Timmins Fire Department responded to a kitchen fire at an apartment building on Maclean Drive. Firefighters say the cause of the fire was french fries cooking on the stove and forgetting to turn off the stove top.
Everyone in the apartment building evacuated and no injuries were reported. The fire department says everyone in the building is now homeless because the buildings power will be shut off due to extensive damage.
