Summer tours back in Timmins

A popular summer attraction is back in Timmins this year. Summer tours are back for the season, and a number of local businesses will be opening their doors to the public.

That includes Gold Corp, which is offering free tours of their Coniaurum and Hollinger Tailings Management Area reclamation sites, as well as trips to the Hollinger Open Pit. Those run on 21st & 28th, July 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th, and August 2nd and 9th. Call the Timmins Convention Bureau Visitor Welcome Center at 705-360-2600 ext 3700 to book a spot.

Millson Forestry is holding environment tours as well, which will look at forest management in Ontario. It will explain how seeds are extracted, processed, tested and stored.

Other tours include the wildlife tour at Cedar Meadows, apiary tours at Timmins Ecological Beekeeping Association and pontoor tours along the Mattagami River.

Call the Timmins Convention Bureau Visitor Welcome Center at 705-360-2600 ext 3700 to book a spot on any of the tours.
