A new way of getting young adults get involved in the community is coming to Timmins.
United Way North East Ontario will be running a Youth Leaders on Board Program. Community Initiatives Manager Linda Dupuis says this will give young adults aged 20 to 35 a chance to take in class lessons on how board of directors work, and a chance to volunteer as an intern on a local board.
Board of directors willing to host an intern can apply by emailing [email protected]. Applications must be in by October 13th.
