Timmins Chamber of Commerce Shares its Thoughts on the Federal Budget

The 2017 Federal budget could have some positives and some negatives for businesses in Timmins.

The Timmins Chamber of Commerce says they are pleased to see that the budget clarifies resource industry duties and money has been set aside to consult with Indigenous communities. President Christine Bender says there are a few things that are concerning like the $28.5-billion deficit, with no plan to balance it.

Bender says three per cent may not sound like a lot for some, but for small businesses this will be a big issue.
