Timmins City Council has asked city staff to look at options to increase pedestrian safety along the established truck route on Tisdale Street and Golden Avenue in South Porcupine. Some of the options recommended include lowering the speed limits, putting up walking signs and banning logging trucks from the road while children are going to and coming home from school. Staff will prepare a report on the most cost effective options and report back to council.
