TPS releasing more information on last night’s Highway 101 crash

More information is coming out about last night’s crash on Highway 101, at McIntyre Road. It happened just before 10:00pm, and closed the highway for about six hours. A 27-year-old female driver of a pickup truck was hit from behind, by an 18-year-old male driver. He was driving a Subaru station wagon. The 21-year-old female passenger of the pickup was injured. She was taken to the hospital for serious, but non-life threatening injuries

TPS says one person drove through the barricades last night, and has been charged. Two others attempted to drive around the barricades, prompting police to remind drivers to be respectful when the road is blocked off, in order for evidence to be preserved and the officers to remain safe.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to call the police at 705-264-1201.
